Staying Neutral in Manayunk

Style is ever evolving. Especially my own personal taste. I used to be a huge pattern lover- anything boho, aztec, the more colors and shapes the better. However, I've realized over the past few years that it is rather difficult to wear certain patterned pieces in multiple ways. Thus, my new love of neutrals. Wearing neutrals can be so chic and stylish but most importantly- EASY. I'm so lazy when I get the chance to be. Like it was cold yesterday, so I wore a big hoodie to class and I took it the extra lazy mile by skipping a bra. I mean it was Monday, so it's excusable. But I'm always looking for ways to look nice without requiring much effort. Pairing neutrals together is the perfect way to do so in the spring/summer!

I got this long blazer on sale at Forever 21 for $9. White wasn't my first choice, but it was the only one left in my size and I couldn't pass on the deal. I paired it with a tan tank, light denim jeans, and tan booties. It was the perfect neutral, chic outfit to wear walking around Main Street in Manayunk to go grab a coffee with friends.

For some cooler spring days, you can stay in your neutral element by choosing darker colors. Black looks good on anyone, any day. For my next outfit, I stuck with all black, white and grey. The hat I got from Dolls Kill, blazer from Forever, Top from Anthropologie, high waisted jeans from Urban, and most importantly the floral shoes are from Jeffrey Campbell. I got these shoes at such a steal on Nasty Gal. It's the perfect spring shoe considering you have flowers on your toes. Also, the oxford shoe is the it girl shoe right now (besides the adidas sneaker). It's cool, stylish and comfortable to wear all day unlike most heels.
